Five natural juices that you can consume to lose weight

Losing weight is one of the wishes of people who are ‘plus size’, this is a process that can be achieved in a short time, but it takes a lot of discipline. The portal Healthline advises a three-step plan to achieve the goal of reducing your appetite, losing weight quickly without going hungry, and improving your metabolic health.

The first thing to do is reduce your intake of sugars and starches (carbohydrates). Experts point out that by reducing the consumption of these products the body will experience less desire to eat. “Another benefit of cutting carbs is that it lowers insulin levels, which prompts your kidneys to remove excess sodium and water from your body. This reduces bloating and unnecessary water weight.” says the aforementioned portal.

As a second point in this process, experts advise eating proteins, fats and vegetables. These foods should be included in each meal.

In addition, the consumption of some juices is recommended, which thanks to its components help to speed up the body’s metabolism and reduce fat.

Juices that help lose weight:

pineapple and cucumber juice

Both pineapple and cucumber are very low-calorie foods and, on the contrary, rich in water.

For this reason, they have diuretic properties that help to eliminate retained fluids and thus decrease the volume of the body (which gives a feeling that weight has been lost).

Ingredients

  • ½ cucumber.
  • 1 medium pineapple.
  • ½ aloe vera leaf.
  • 2 glasses of water (500 ml).
  • Optional: 1 apple.

Preparation

  • Wash all the ingredients with cold water to remove any residue they may have.
  • Peel the pineapple and cut into small pieces.
  • Slice the cucumber without removing the skin, but discarding the seeds.
  • Peel the aloe vera leaf. Then, pass it through water to remove the yellow layer that covers the gel.
  • Put all the ingredients in the blender and process until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Put in the fridge for a while to cool down.
  • Serve and consume once a day, after going to the gym, for example.

Orange and kiwi juice

It has always been said that the orange is one of the fruits with the highest content of vitamin C and that for this reason it should be consumed in various ways within a balanced diet.

On the other hand, it is often said that kiwi is a very good fruit to prevent and combat constipation, because it has a high fiber content.

Ingredients

  • 3 kiwis.
  • The juice of 5 oranges.

Preparation

  • Extract the juice from the oranges with the help of a juicer and add to the blender glass.
  • Peel and slice the kiwi.
  • Take everything to the blender and process until smooth.
  • Let cool in the refrigerator and then serve.

3. Infusion of ginger and lemon

For this preparation the ingredients are: 2 ice cubes, ½ cup of water (125 ml), ½ teaspoon of ginger (2 g), 1 apple (preferably red), 2 cups of grated carrot (230 g) and 5 tablespoons of lemon juice (50 ml). First of all, the ingredients must be washed very well and cut into pieces. Then add them to the blender along with the water. It is necessary to blend for a time of 2 minutes to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Like the green drink, it is recommended to consume in the morning.

4. Apple smoothie with oatmeal

The green apple protects the intestinal mucosa, reducing intestinal problems and even decreases the chances of colon or stomach cancer.

  • To prepare it, peel 2 green apples and remove the core.
  • Then, cut into pieces to put them in the blender glass together with 125 grams of oats, the juice of a lemon and half a liter of water.
  • Blend the ingredients and add a little more water if it is too thick.
