The new function has been notifying contacts that have pending states to see, since a ring will appear around the profile photo in the chat list. With this novelty, you can see the states of one of the contacts directly by touching the profile picture. This new update is now available worldwide.

voice states

The voice states have been the most striking for users in their trial periods. This function is similar to text ones, which is why this option must be chosen to create them. The difference is that you must press the microphone section and record the respective message.

States Privacy

In WhatsApp it is now possible to choose who can see the states, with the options established in the platform. However, with the new privacy selector you can choose between ‘My contacts’, ‘My contacts except’ and ‘Only share with’.

preview links

This novelty is quite simple to use, since you only have to copy a web link in the text of a state, which will become a card with information about the link, according to the portal Xataka Mobile.

WhatsApp function to pin messages in chats

WhatsApp is characterized by constantly working on the implementation of different tools, which have the purpose of improving the user experience.

The most important instant messaging application in the world, also stands out for allowing the sending of all possible information, that is, documents, links, multimedia files or the typical text messages.

In this sense, the application developed by Meta is working on a function that allows messages that users consider important not to be lost in a conversation, since the tool will have the ability to post messages in individual or group chats, according to the portal. WaBetaInfo.

The purpose behind this new novelty is to make it easier for all Internet users to consult their respective messages, previously anchored, which is why any text can be posted in the conversation thread. Also, pinned messages will appear at the top of the chat.

According to the aforementioned portal, WhatsApp will announce if an old version is being used when this new feature comes out. “Some pinned messages used in this chat. Please update to the latest version of WhatsApp to see and use pinned messages as well,” the warning states.
