Techland reveals the first image of its next video game. The creators of the Dying Light franchise surprise with a “narrative-driven” fantasy title which will show “an exotic open world ready to be explored”.
In the tweet that accompanies its first image, the Polish team highlights its ambition to “create a triple A title centered on a compelling story that combines and refines the best aspects of the gameplay for which Techland is known.” If we take a look at the image we can see a jungle in which several constructions on the stage take center stage in front of the waterfall and mountain seen in the foreground.
On the left side of the image we can see a character holding the end of a branch, which which suggests that parkour will continue in the playable core. We know that we are apparently on another planet because of the giant asteroid that is flying over. At the moment the study does not point to any release date or platforms. Development continues its course.
Dying Light 2, how is it?
At Sklaper we analyze in detail the sequel to Dying Light, which debuted in 2022, collecting the elements that led the original to success. “What happens to Dying Light 2: Stay Human is the same as other open world games. In his desire to be bigger, he ends up getting lost among a huge number of activities”, we said in the conclusions of our analysis. “Parkour and the player’s interaction with the world is the most interesting thing about this product, which despite what has been said before is a fun and satisfying experience.”
